Former MDC Alliance top official Tracy Mutinhiri is set to return to Zanu PF after handing in an application letter at the Mashonaland East provincial offices in Marondera declaring her intention to rejoin the ruling party.

Tracy has described MDC-A as a white man’s party pushing ahead the agenda of Americans.

“When I was an MDC official, I discovered that it is a white man’s party which will destroy the gains of the liberation struggle, if given a chance. Therefore, we must all unite ourselves in ZANU PF to defend our independence and our sovereignty,” said Cde Mutinhiri.

Tracy was a candidate for the MDC-A vice president post in 2018.

She was expelled from ZANU PF in August 2011 following allegations of going against party policies and directives.

Mutinhiri eventually joined the Movement for Democratic Change which is a rival party to ZANU PF.

She is the ex-wife of Zanu-PF politician, Ambrose Mutinhiri.
