A barrage of rockets was fired on Wednesday at the Ayn Al Asad air base in Iraq’s western Anbar Province.

The base is one of the last remaining Iraq base where U.S forces are stationed.

The attack is widely believed to be revenge. The Iranian backed militia is likely responsible after sending a message that they are not afraid of President Biden.

However no US troops were killed, damage was relatively minor.

The Pentagon said an American contractor died of a cardiac episode, while sheltering.
