South African based Zimbabwean soccer player, Evans Rusike (30), who has been struggling to score goals since moving from Maritzburg United in 2018, has blamed fellow Zimbabwean coach, Kaitano Tembo for his dry spell.

Speaking to soccerladuma, Rusike said he has tried to talk to Tembo about the position that he is being played, as a winger, which he said he is not familiar with.

Rusike said he used to score a lot of goals when he played as a center forward at Maritzburg United.

‘I am a person that loves scoring goals, but since I moved to Supersport I have been used as a wide attacking player, where you focus more on the crossing side than the scoring side ‘

Rusike said when he talked to the coach , Tembo insisted that he wanted to use him on the wider positions so that he could exploit the spaces behind the defenders and use his skill to beat them in one on one situations.

Supersport United CEO, Stan Matthews, has publicly warned Rusike that his contact will not be renewed if he does not start scoring goals.
