MDC A leader Nelson Chamisa says Emmerson Mnangagwa’s move to evict more than 12 000 Chilonga Villagers in Chiredzi for grass dairy products is criminal and vile.

Addressing the issue on twitter, Chamisa said Mnangagwa should stop being heartless for profits.

“STOP BEING HEARTLESS AND CRUEL..EVICTING 12 500 Chilonga villagers in Chiredzi for a grass dairy project is criminal and vile”, he said.

Mnangagwa has reportedly authorized the eviction of about 12 500 people in Chilonga Village in Chiredzi.

Chamisa added that “Chiyadzwa, Chingwizi, Chisumbanje greenfuel evictions show disdain of citizens. Capital &profits must not undermine citizens rights, heritage and dignity”.

According the son of the village head of Chilonga, the government wants to give the land to Darren Kutsiye and Paul Kruger who want to grow lucerne grass.

MDC A VP Tendai Biti said the move reflects stupidity and ideologically bankruptness.

“The displacement of thousands of villagers in Chilonga to pave way for a grazing scheme for a huge private entity is a reflection of deep conflation between corrupt white monopoly capital & the securocracy to create the Deep State”
