A vicious war has erupted between Zimbabwean criminal gangs (Popularly known as Amakhalanga) and ‘Zulus’ in Hillbrow, resulting in the death of 5 Zimbabweans and 2 Zulus.
The war is so bad that Zulu Chiefs this weekend travelled from KZN to Hillbrow to meet Zimbabwe Ndebele traditional leaders to calm tensions.
According to residents, Zimbabwean criminals ambushed and killed two local undercover agents of the Zulus.
In revenge, at least 5 Zimbabwean security guards have been followed and shot dead in broad daylight while walking in the streets.
Last week, locals marched on the streets of Hillbrow singing struggle songs and firing guns in the air.
