Former MDC-T leader Thokozani Khupe has undermined Douglas Mwonzora’s position as president of the party.
In a press statement, Khupe addressed Mwonzora as senator instead of president.
She said she was absent from today’s press conference called by Douglas Mwonzora at the party headquarters, harvest house because of a number of grievances she has.
This followed Mwonzora’s claims that Khupe had missed the press conference as she was driving from Bulawayo.
Khupe said she met with Mwonzora to map a way forward on the issues emanating from the Extraordinary congress where Khupe was defeated.
“I can confirm that I met with Sen. Douglas Mwonzora in Harare on 18 February 2021 for the first time since 27 December 2020 Extraordinary Congress. The following issues were discussed:1. Violence, Illegitimate voters roll as well as inquorate EOC among..” said Khupe.
