Ovidy Karuru Scores Brace to Sink Jomo Cosmos

South Africa based Zimbabwean and Black Leopards midfielder, Ovidy Karuru continued his impressive form after his late brace propelled the Limpopo-based side to a 2-1 over Jomo Cosmos in the first round of the Nedbank Cup.

Karuru found the back of the net in the 82nd minute after a brilliant turn to slot home from close range.

However, his joy turned to sadness when Khethu Zwane equalised for Jomo Cosmos.

Ovidy Karuru’s header sealed the contest with two minutes remaining. Karuru was also named the Man of the match.

Ovidy Karuru is enjoying his life at Leopards as he has scored more goals than any other Zimbabwean player based in South Africa this season.
