Zimbabwean sex workers have reflected on how the lockdown has impacted their income as they now charge starting from  $1.

In a video on social media, several sex workers expressed how the lockdown curfew has an effect on their business as they usually do their business at night.

“We charge  $1 during the day and  $10 at night but our clients don’t pay that money as they tend to negotiate till they get to $5”, said one of the sex workers Lydia.

Furthermore,  they expressed the risk of getting STIs ads fhe clinics where they usually get help are closed and sometimes they dont get condoms to use.

Moreover, they added that they are being robbed the little they get by some of their clients or thieves at night.

“Sometimes we are being robbed by robbers, chased by police and some of our clients sometimes threaten us and take away our belongings”, said One of fhe workers Ester.
