Fugitive Prophet, Shepherd Bushiri, is set to lose his properties in the USA, Malawi and the UK after trustees identified assets in those countries.
The joint trustees, Jerry Mashamba and Louisa Selina Kgatle, said they have already identified and taken possession of some properties and bank accounts in South Africa.
Bushiri’s bank accounts have been frozen, including those that belong to four ponzi schemes that were being run by the prophet.
Mashaba told the City Press Newspaper that authorities in the USA have also identified assets and funds in that country.
He said Bushiri transfered a huge sum of money to an individual who used to live in South Africa, who is now based in the UK.
Mashamba said the trustees are in the process of applying for recognition in the UK and in Malawi to seize those assets.
Bushiri Properties identified so far:
1. Mercedes Benz Viano and VW Kombi being held at Musina police station, after an attempt was made to smuggle the vehicles through Beitbridge.
2. Sparkling waters Hotel and Spa in Magaliesberg.
3. SB Hotel Barcelona
3. SB Hotel Tarragona
4. SB Hotel Madrid
5. SB Hotel Terres de l’Ebre
6. Midstream Mansion
7. Gulfstream Jet which is being held by the NPA at Lansaeria Airport.
8. 35 registered companies.
9. Five properties linked to various companies.
Mashaba, told the newspaper that he is receiving death threats from Bushiri’s followers. The company tracing Bushiri’s assets was named as Honey Corporate Recovery And Insolvency.
Bushiri’s extradition case is underway in Malawi, and he is expected to be sent back to South Africa this year where he and his wife Mary are facing numerous charges.
