Ace Lumumba loses US$200 000

Platinum Fuels, a group run by Ace Lumumba Gerald Mutumanje has lost nearly US$200 000 to its two employees during transactions they entered with other fuel dealers that occured between November 2020 and January 2021.

According to multiple reports, Platinum Fuels lost 153 000 litres of diesel worth US$158 520 and US$30 500 cash to its employees who have been identified as Tatenda Maredza (31) and Malcom Dodo (26).

Ace Lumumba has also confirmed that the allegations that he lost 200 000 dollars are true.

“I can confirm the article is true. Platinum Fuels would like to advise all stakeholders we take clients trust very seriously and we have put in place a complete protocol to ensure your trust with us will not be abused. Official communication will be issued,” tweeted Lumumba.

But However Lumumba rubbished claims that the two culprits are employed by Platinum Field.

Meanwhile, the two culprits appeared at the Harare Magistrate’s Court and have been charged with theft of trust property, corruptly concealing transaction from a principal and unlawful dealing in petroleum
