High Court judge Justice Clement Phiri has died.

H Metro reports that the judge succumbed to Covid 19 complications.

It is reported that Justice Phiri died last night at his home in Marondera, days after he tested positive for Covid 19.

His family recently tested positive to Covid19 but had recovered.

Phiri was appointed by President Robert Mugabe with effect from the 7th of September 2015.

He was sworn in on the 16th of September 2015, in a ceremony at the Constitutional Court, by then Chief Justice Godfrey Chidyausiku.
