The Ministry of Health and Childcare has given doctors the go ahead and use the Ivernectin medicine.

The move by the ministry of health comes following last week’s request by the doctors to use the vaccine so as to fight the second wave of Covid-19.

However, the doctors are to import and use the medicines under the supervision and guidance.

“It is in this regard that authority is hereby granted for you to proceed under section 75 of the Medicines and Allied Substances Control Act to allow importation and use of these medicines under the supervision and guidance you outlined,” said Dr. Mudyiradima in a statement.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Child Care also said in these difficult times of Covid-19 treatement, the health department needs to be careful to protect the patients as well aa not to deny them effective treatment regimes.
