There are mixed feelings is Soweto as South Africans await rollout of Covid-19 vaccination across the country.
South Africa’s Department of Health gave the green light to the use of the much anticipated Covid-19 medicine earlier today.
The South African government is expecting its first batch of the jabs by the end of this month.
However, some Soweto residents are happy to be vaccinated whereas others said they do not trust the vaccine.
“I’m afraid, because always when a person gets an injection, they just go. So we don’t trust it,” said Josephine Hlomuka.
South Africa is the hardest hit on the continent with 1.4 million cases.
