Ugandan security forces have finally withdrawn from the residency of opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine.

A top Ugandan court ordered the security forces to leave the home of Bobi Wine after 11 days of house arrest. The security forces delayed leaving the residency, however they left on Tuesday.

Ugandan authorities said Wine could only leave his home on the outskirts of Kampala under military escort because they fear his presence in public could incite rioting and he could organise protests.

However, Ugandan judge said in the ruling that Wine’s home is not a proper detention facility.
