Former Ghananian leader Jerry Rawlings was buried with military honours at a state funeral in Acra on Wednesday
Rawlings died at the age of 73, he is popularly known for being the longest serving president as he held for on power for 20 years.
Hundreds of Ghananians earlier this week paid their final respects as his coffin laid in state during two days of national mourning under strict covid-19 protocols.
Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo described Rawlings as a charismatic and fearless leader.
However, his widow Nana Konadu praised the late hero for being a good father to their children
“You took pride in your fatherly duties..you’re passionate and open-hearted,” said Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings.
