ZANU PF has retracted claims that former Manicaland Governor and Minister of Energy Rt.Lt. Gen Mike Nyambuya had succumbed to COVID-19
Posting on Twitter, the party said it was misled into posting malicious information.
“We would like to retract the post we tweeted on our microblogging site timeline and our WhatsApp group on 22 January 2021.
“The statement was not made with any malicious intent to lie or defame the character of Rtd. Lt. Gen Mike Nyambuya. The error was the unfortunate result of our usually reliable sources and other online publication having provided us with the misleading information.
“We completely retract the false information and apologize for the mistake”.
