ED Mnangagwa Mourns The Passing of His Ally Sibusiso Moyo

Emmerson Mnangagwa has mourned the passing of his ally Retired Army General Sibusiso Moyo.

Mnangagwa said he regrets to announce the passing on early this morning of Dr S.B. Moyo who succumbed to Covid-I9 at a local hospital.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce Foreign Minister Dr SB Moyo has died”, he wrote on Twitter.

Sibusiso Busi Moyo a politician and army major general who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in the Cabinet of Zimbabwe since November 2017.

Mnangagwa said: “Zimbabwe has lost a devoted public servant and a true hero, and I have lost a friend. He fought his entire life so that Zimbabwe could be free. May he rest in peace”.

On 15 November 2017, following the house arrest of Mugabe the previous day, Moyo gave a statement ZBC, denying that a coup had taken place.
