The U.S Embassy to Uganda was turned away in an attempt to visit Uganda’s main opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine.

According to Bobi Wine’s tweet the U.S Embassy attempted to visit him yesterday afternoon however they were denied access by the military.

Bobi Wine has been under house arrest for more than 4 days, he revealed that he has no food and even journalists are denied access to interview him.

The U.S Embassy to Uganda was not part of the election observers due to the Ugandan law which allows only U.S 15 delegates to observe. The US Ambassador to Uganda announced that the U.S will not observe the elections because it is impossible to observe all areas with 15 delegates.
