The Nigerian army has regained control of its military base in Marte after an intense fighting with the Jihadists on Sunday morning.

The Jihadists claimed responsibility for the attack on Friday evening and still had control of the base on saturday before being dislodged by the Nigerian army.

According to a statement, the Nigerian army in corodination with airforce, the army managed to destroy seven of the Jihadists’ trucks, decimated several terrorists and are still in pursuit of the terrorists.

According to multiple reports the Nigerian army suffered human and equipment losses.

Last week the Jihadists managed to kill atleast 13 Nigerian soldiers in north-eastern Nigeria.
