Witness Dube, one of the campaign managers for MDC Secretary General, Douglas Mwonzora, says Dr Thokozani Khuphe and Senator Elias Mudzuri are developing cold feet at the last minute after realizing that they are going to lose at the MDC-T extra-ordinary congress.
Dube said the campaigns of Dr Khupe and that of Senator Mudzuri have no message and have resorted to a dirty campaign of smearing the image of Senator Mwonzora who is the front runner.
MDC-T Treasury letterDube said Chief Ndlovu knows the procedure that is taken to withdraw money in the MDC-T, and deliberately chose to send out a false press statement on funds that he says were withdrawn by SG Mwonzora.
Dube said Ndlovu knows very well that one person can not withdraw money from the party account, as this required multiple approvals.
He said all leaders of the MDC-T should work to make sure that the congress is held as failure to hold that extra-ordinary congress by the 31st will result in massive legal headaches for the party.
Chief Ndlovu A Media Troll
Dube said Chief Ndlovu and Khaliphani Phugeni are some of the people that came into the MDC-T in ways that can not be explained. He said the two have their own way of politics that is alien to the MDC-T, including running their own social media accounts, trolling and having their own letter heads.
Dube said the two are only in the MDC leadership based on their claims that they were close to Morgan Tsvangirai.
Failure To Hold Congress
Dube said failure to hold congress by the Supreme court deadline of the 31 Decemebr 2020 will mean that the party will no longer have an acting President. This mean Khupe will now go back to her position of vice president and plunge the party into a legitimacy crisis.
Dube said, this state of affairs will also open the party to challenges from Nelson Chamisa over failure to hold the congress.
