Two people were shot dead by police this morning in Lusaka as popular candidate Hikainde Hichilema continues to gain support across the country.
Current president, Edgar Lungu, is facing certain defeat at the hands of the popular millionaire, as Zambia’s economy continues to crash.
In a video circulating on social media, the two dead men are seen lying helplessly on the ground after police fired teargas at UNPD supporters.
The two man have been identified as a prosecutor named Nsama and the other one as a member of UNPD .
A member of UNPD who is also an eye witness on the spot confirmed the incident saying:
“Two people have been killed, one of our members from UNPD has been killed and a prosecutor by the name Nsama”.
