Popular Zimbabwean dancehall artist, Winky D, has won the African best dancehall artist at the African Entertainment Awards USA.

Jah Prayzah, who was also nominated, did not win any awards in the vote in competition.

The Gaffa was nominated with other 10 artists from the African continent.

The artists included Shatta Wale, Jose Chameleon, Prince Bright, Patroranking, Bebe Cool, Sheebah Karungi, Stonebwoy Samini and Navy Kenzo.

Winky D recently released three songs ‘Reply’, ‘Ragga Msambo’ and ‘David and Goliath’.

The three songs have been trending in top 5 on YouTube with Jah Prayzah ‘s ‘Mwana Wamambo’ and ‘Porovhoka’ which were also released recently.
