The late Zimbabwe flamboyant millionaire, Genius ‘Ginimbi’ Kadungure, was the third most searched deceased person in South Africa, in 2020.
This was revealed in the recently published Google search trends for 2020.
Ginimbi, who passed away in early November, only had Kobe Bryant and Mshoza above him.
Other people on the list include Bob Mabena, Naya Rivera, George Floyd, Chadwick Boseman, Zinzi Mandela, Thandeka Mdeliswa and Mary Twala.
Ginimbi follows in the footsteps of the late Zimbabwean music superstar, Oliver Mutukudzi, who was number 5 in 2019.
In 2019, Nelson Chamisa was the 7th most searched politician in South Africa, following the disputed election in Zimbabwe and the demonstrations that followed in 2019.
Unfortunately, Zimbabwe does not appear on the 2020 Google search trends due to the lack of sufficient data.
In 2020, there was no Zimbabwean on the top 10 list of most searched politicians by South Africans.
In 2020, South Africans’ top 10 most searched list of politicians was: Joe Biden, Kim Jong Un, Kamala Harris, Borris Johnson, Angie Motshekga, Ace Magashule, Stella Ndabeni Abraham’s, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Andile Lungisa and Bheki Cele.
