In a shocking development, Clive Malunga’s Jenaguru Arts Centre was yesterday Demolished by the Harare City Council.
The 20 year old property was demolished because it was built illegally, without council approval.
The caretaker at the property, Edson Sibanda, told journalists that a double story building, a restaurant, toilets and a house were demolished.
Sibanda said the demoliions came as a surprise, without notification and took everyone by surprise.
The owner of the property, popular Musician, Clive Malunga, was not available to comment.
Sibanda said he had been living at the property for over 16 years. He revealed that after the demolition, thieves took advantage and started to loot the materials and other items.
