Moan’s mother, Yolanda kuvaonga, has lost in her bid to cancel the burial order that was obtained by the father of the late socialite, Ishmael Amuli.

High court Judge Pisirayi Kwenda awarded Ishmael Amuli the father of the late Moana with burial rights.

In his ruling, Justice Kwenda said the remains of the deceased shall be handed over to the paternal family of the deceased forthwith.

Judge Pisirayi said after reviewing culture and tradition literature and having some consultations together with the evidence received from court, Moana’s father has the right to lead his daughters burial.

He added that given the fact that the father looked after Moana from a tender age, the fatherhood of the father was not disputed but endorsed.

Furthermore the judge said members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police may be deployed at the burial ceremony to ensure that peace prevails.

Adding on, Pisirayi said this was a unique case that would have been taken to the Council of Chiefs but to avoid further dispute and burdening of the grieving he had to make the decision.
