Chaos has broken out in the MDC-T After the first provincial nomination held in Bulawayo, was abandoned. It is now unclear whether the extraordinary congress will be successfully held.
On Sunday, four out of the five candidates reportedly walked out of the nominations alleging Rigging by Khuphe.
Mwonzora, Bhebhe, Chimanikire, Komichi and Mudzuri alleged more than 50 non delegates were brought in by Khupe to participate illegally in the nominations.
Other issues raised were :
1.There were more ballots than people that cast their votes
2. When all our polling agents walk out, Khuphe’s polling agents opened and counted and when they discovered that Bhebhe was leading they stopped counting.
3. A meeting of candidates was called and 4 out of 5 candidates objected and walked out.
4. Khuphe’s people remained counting and decided to circulate the following figures on Twitter :
5. Instead of the Independent Commission, Nomvula Mguni supplied ballots to the Independent Commission.
The four candidates questioned where Mnguni got her list, who gave her, who verified it and whether a province is allowed to run the nomination.
They asked what was the point of bringing in the commission.
