The son of Zanu PF Midlands Provincial Chaiperson Daniel Mackenzie Ncube was last week killed by a suspected group of machette wielding gangs,known as makorokoza.
This occurred in the Zhombe district,which is very rich in gold deposits.
Ncube confirmed to NewZimbabwe.com the death of his son Brian.
‘It is true I lost him (Brian) to machette wielding gangs,but circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear. The police are still conducting their investigations into the matter,” he said.
Brian was a well known gold buyer in Zhombe and it is alleged that unknown people called him to the gate to talk leading to his disappearance. The police found gold bars in his grandmothers house in Zhombe.
His burial would be conducted in Musengezi.
