In a shocking development, looting had broken out in Durban during fresh demonstrations against foreigners this afternoon.
The Umkonto We Sizwe Military Veterans have moved their March to the Berea area of Durban where they have shut down foreign businesses.
The MKMVA is demanding that illegal immigrants leave South Africa and that the ANC government improve border controls.
The group of military veterans began protest action a few weeks ago and were met by senior ANC leaders.
However, the intervention doesn’t seem to have made a difference as the group started their marches against foreigners starring at the busy Workshop area yesterday.
The MKMVA denied that they were behind the looting and blamed street kids who joined their march for the looting.
