Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his co-accused will be spending the weekend in jail after their bail application failed.
Bushiri’s lawyers, in their bail application, said Bushiri was a good candidate for bail and was not a flight risk.
They told the court that Bushiri’s Children who attend school in Malawi are currently in South Africa and need to be taken back to School.
However the state vigorously opposed bail and the case will be heard again, likely on Monday.
