South African Police have launched a massive operation to find, arrest and deport illegal immigrants across Gauteng Province.
This comes ahead of the planned march against foreigners on 16 October by various local groups.
Police have been targeting rural areas, roads and restaurants, where hundreds of Illegal Zimbabweans have been arrested and handed over to the department of Home Affairs.
Among those who were detained are minors, who were found working on construction sites.
