A South African NGO, 350 Africa.org, has written to the Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, to stop the use of public funds on the Mozambique LNG project.
The organisation called upon Mboweni to withdraw the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and Development Bank Of Southern Africa (DBSA) funding of the Mozambique Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) project.
The NGO said the project is associated with violence and is not environmentally friendly.
