The ANC has been forced to pay R100 000 for improperly using a SANDF jet on a trip to Zimbabwe.

ANC Spokesman, Pule Mabe, confirmed that the ANC had paid the R100 000 to the SANDF after receiving an invoice.

However , Mabe refused to say if President Cyril knew about the arrangement for the ANC to travel with the defense minister in advance.

There was an uproar in South Africa when a 10 member ANC delegation travelled to Harare using the jet in September.

Ramaphosa then ordered Defence Minister, Nosiviwe-Mapisa Nqakula to carry out an investigation into the circumstances sorrounding the trip and report to him.

Nosiviwe-Mapisa Nqakula was fined 3 months salary which she will have to pay into the coronavirus solidarity fund between October and December.

The ANC will also answer questions in Parliament regarding the trip, which was seen as a conflation of the state and party.
