ZANU-PF Spokesman, Kennedy Mandaza, says Hopewell Chin’ono was arrested because he incited violence.

Mandaza said the call of the Anti-corruption demonstration changed to ZANU-PF MUST GO.

Mandaza said the intention of the call was to ensure that people go into the street and were going to be uncontrollable.

Mandaza said cases of corruption are difficult to prove, that is why ministers who were arrested on corruption charges got bail.

However, for Chin’ono, the 31st of July had not came and gone so the court could not give him bail.

Mandaza said Hopewell was not arrested for speaking against corruption, but for inciting violence.
