Former Dynamos and Highlanders player, Cuthbert Malajila has hit hard times in South Africa.

He told soccerladuma newspaper that he curretly has no club and income and is living from hand to mouth while at home for the past 8 months.

Malajila’s 2 year contract with Black Leopards was terminated barely 6 months after it was signed.

Malajila confirmed that he was not given a chance to play at the club but refused to disclose the reasons why his contract was terminated in January.

This comes after he failed to land a contract at Bloemfonetin Celtic in 2019. He said he got injured on the first day of training at the club and had to go back to Johannesburg.

Malajila said he was released by Sundowns after 5 seasons and they decided not to give him a contract because he was injured when he returned from Bidvest where they had loaned him ( He was injured for 8 months).

At the height of his playing career, Malajila played for Tunisian clubs Al-Akhdah and Al Africain where his transfer fees were over $200 000.00

His transfer fees at Maritszburg United and Sundowns were over $400 000.

Malajila also played for the Zimbabwe National Soccer Team.
