Movement for Democratic Change Alliance activists, Joana Mamombe, Netsai Marova and Cecelia Chimbiri were on Thursday issued with a warrant of arrest

Speaking Zimeye, Henry Chimbiri decried the lack of respect for the rule of law and the human rights violations.

The trio received the warrant after appearing at Rotten Row where they’re charged with participating in a protest against hunger.

Henry said Cyril Ramaphosa should intervene in Zimbabwe because there is a humanitarian crisis.

The trio is charged with violating lockdown restrictions after they participated in a hunger protest in Warren Park in May.

The activists claim that they were abducted from police custody on the night they were arrested and were subjected to inhumane treatment all the night only to be dumped in Bindura in the morning.
