Dumisani Muleya, Chairperson of the Zimbabwe National Editors Forum says Cyril Ramaphosa’s mediation in Zimbabwe got off to a false start after his special envoys met only with Emmerson Mnangagwa and neglected opposition MDC A.
In an interview with eNCA, Muleya said Mnangagwa met with the envoys privately to try and sweet talk them into believing their own political narrative.
Muleya said dialogue between Mnangagwa and Nelson Chamisa alone will not solve Zimbabwe’s problems.
He said its high time Ramaphosa realises that Zimbabwe now needs a national conversion where all Zimbabwean stakeholders come together to draft a new road map to take the country forward.
Muleya said when Mnangagwa ascended to power people had high expectations however he failed to fulfill them because he was a groomed by his predecessor thus he was a Mugabe enforcer spearheading authoritarian rule.
