There has been heavy police presence in Hout Bay in the Western Cape as Protesters have blocked roads in a demonstration against job losses and unemployment.

The protests are reported to have started on Sunday as more than 300 civilians took to the streets and blocked several roads in Hout Bay.

The civilians were protesting against unemployment that has led to hunger and starvation during the lockdown.

Protesters also used waste bags as part of their demonstration and they said this is because the government has overlooked employment for the youth who seem to not have a better future.
