Latest numbers have revealed that South Africa month on month car sales and year on year sales have plunged by over 40%.
The National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA) Says consumers are now going for cheaper, used cars.
For every one new car bought, there are 23 used cars that are bought.
Exports have also plunged by close to 40%.
