South African politician Julius Malema has called for the removal of the Zimbabwean embassy in South Africa until human rights are restored in Zimbabwe.

Malema said that if the Zimbabwean Government does not restore human rights in the country, the South African government will ban any official from The Zimbabwean government from participating in any gathering in South Africa.

In a recent tweet, Malema said the following:

“We call for the removal of the Zimbabwean Embassy in SA until they restore the human rights in that country. Failure to do so, we will prevent any official from the Zimbabwean government from participating in any gathering in SA until they respect ordinary Zimbabweans.”

This is in line with the recent movement on Twitter, #ZimbabweanLivesMatter, that has seen the international community advocating for restoration of human rights in Zimbabwe.

The EFF said it has a right to speak about burning issues of other countries thus it will not be stopped by mere threats.
