The Zimbabwe National Army and the police have shut down the central business districts of Harare and other major cities and towns, chasing away all civilians ahead of today’s planned protests.

With heavy state security forces across the country the protest is not expected to be immense instead there will be popcorn protests.

The army, along with anti-riot police, forced shops to close after the police warned that no demonstrations would be allowed on July 31.

ZANU-PF party, the military and police have threatened to come down hard on the protesters, who want to remove Mnangagwa unconstitutionally.

The protest in an anti-corruption protest anticipated to change the economy and the political landscape of Zimbabwe.
