Jethro Rusike of JCTV says there is no way people can remove Emmerson Mnangagwa from power without the support of the army.

Rusike said change can only be achieved if the military is engaged and backs the public.

Rusike said 31 July will only result in a number of casualties since the military is still in solidarity with Mnangagwa and ZANU PF.

Rusike said without the backing of the army removing the ZANU PF government is a farfetched dream which will never be fulfilled in Zimbabwe.

The 31 July national protest organisers are of the view that the day in question will bring change for Zimbabweans as they rise against corruption, poor governance and economic backlash.

Rusike said the most powerful unit in the country is the army hence people should first have all state security agencies on their side just like in the 2017 November coup.
