A militant group linked to ISIS, Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamaah, that has been causing insurgency in Mozambique has warned South Africa, Pretoria, not to get involved in the conflict or the group will open the fighting front within South Africa’s borders.

Mozambique News Agency Editor Paul Fauvet said that the Mozambican government is not aware about the source of the groups income and that they are currently investigating where they are getting the money from.

President Nyusi also appealed to the courts that if any of the members of the rebel group are caught they should be tried and sentenced to prison.

Paul Fauvet said that Nyusi warned the public from getting recruited into the group through suspicious job offers that are going around in the country.

The militant group linked to ISIS, Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamaah, has been waging a violent insurgency in Mozambique’s northernmost province, Cabo Delgado.
