Speaking to Zimbabwe journalist, Josie Mahachi, Jelous Mawarire, NPF Spokesman said he is not afraid of Mnangagwa and his government. Mawarire said he stopped being afraid of anyone after he was born again.

Mawarire also said Chamisa Should not have supported the coup and should not have called a miraculous change.

When asked if he was a member of the dreaded, Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO), Mawarire said he is not a member of the CIO.

Mawarire said if he was a member of the CIO, he should have been exposed by members of the MDC who were in government.

Mawarire said going forward, Zimbabweans should debunk the narrative by the military that they are the only ones that can protect the legacy of the liberation struggle of Zimbabwe.

Mawarire said everyone should have a right to elect a leader of this country. This means that the vote should be protected. Citizens should be able to hold the government accountable.

Mawarire said politics should lead the gun. In 2017, Mawarire said the army sided with one faction and this compromised the 2018 elections. Mawarire said he told the SADC observer mission that Zimbabwe was not ready for a free and fair election.

Mawarire said going forward, there should be dialogue that is genuine, not POLAD. Mawarire said people are secretly and quietly engaging each other in order to come up with a big tent that will move Zimbabwe forward.
