Award winning journalists and political analyst Hopewell Chinono says there is too much polarisation in Zimbabwe that if one exposes corruption in the government he will be viewed as pro MDC.

Chinono said he was approached by the minister of information Monica Mutsvangwa to assist in the reformation of broadcasting and communication industry of Zimbabwe particularly ZBC into an international recognized industry.

Chinono said he offered his help to Mutsvanga and contacted a number of donor partners from BBC,CNN, ITV news who pledged to assist in teaching ZBC journalists.

Hopewell said the developments were sabotaged by a few individuals like George Charamba who produced damning articles on him portraying him as a Puppet for the whites.

Hopewell said people like George Charamba thrive when there is chaos in the country thus they destroy anything that gets the country to rise.

Chinono said the dying economy is affecting journalism as a profession, it becomes difficult for newspaper owners to pay huge amount of salaries in the present situation.

He said state media continues with its well known history of abusive articles against anyone perceived to be anti-government.

Hopewell said he has been called names rooted in lies and smear in the Herald by the President’s spokesperson, George Charamba, a sign of intolerable arrogance.
