Zimbabwe People ‘s Party Communications Director, Jaison Midzi says the demonstrations planned for 31 July in Zimbabwe will fail.
Midzi says there is no demonstration that can succeed in Zimbabwe without the explicit support of the army.
Midzi said there are no clear objectives for the demonstrations and the parties who are calling for the demonstrations are hijacking an idea that was originated by Albert Matapo of the Zimbabwe People Power Movement.
Midzi also said if the objective of to remove Mnangagwa, then the demonstration has to be sustained and can not be a one day event.
Midzi also slammed the idea of a National Transitional Authority that had not been discussed upfront.
