Popular South African Socialite Somizi has lost his mother Mary Twala who was also a popular actor.

Mary Twala aged 80 died after being unwell for a while and Somizi and his family have received words of Condolences from many people in South Africa.

She also recieved a national order award from South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and this is the highest Award anyone can get in the country.

This comes after Somizi was called to court followingthe an Instagram post talking about a lockdown extension and was allegedly issued a arrest warrant after he could not make it to court because of the passing of his mother.

Twala featured in several South African local productions amongst which she had a guest role in the first season of Generations.
