Bulawayo based journalist Zenzele Ndebele says Chinese people in Zimbabwe are getting better preferential treatment compared to the nationals themselves.

Speaking to eNCA on Friday, Zenzele said there are more than ten thousand Chinese in the country and most of them own construction companies and mines.

He said in these companies, locals have been complaining about brutality, harassment and violence being perpetrated on wokers.

Zenzele said the government has neglected the complaints, they continue to grant chinese mining concessions and other services at the expense of the Zimbabweans.

This comes after a Chinese mine owner being charged with attempted murder shot two workers point blank for demanding their salary in US dollars as per their agreement.

The Chinese embassy distanced itself from the mine owner saying they do not support such behavior thus the law in Zimbabwe should take its course.
