Jethro Rusike of JCTV says Emmerson Mnangagwa is afraid of Church leaders like Ezekiel Guti who have a huge following of congregants because they can ignite change in the political arena easily through mass protests.

Rusike said Mnangagwa is not threatened by people who demonstrate on social media platforms but the pastors who influence action to be taken.

Ezekiel Guti has a following of more than 3 million people therefore when he calls his people to take to the streets no one will be able to stop the protests.

Rusike said Emmanuel Makandiwa, Johane Marange, Roman Catholic and other churches attract congregants of more than a million thus Mnangagwa knows he has to keep the church at heart to avoid mass demonstrations.
