Former Minister of Education Olivia Muchena says covid-19 has caused disruption, disorder and disorientation mostly in Africa affecting the education system.

She said people are experiencing an unprecedented period of waking up doing nothing, children are not going to school, universities are not operating as they should.

Muchena said the immediate way to solve is to embrace online learning however in Africa it is a problem because the majority of children may not be able to go online.

She added that some people cannot afford buying the gadgets,data which goes up almost daily and lack of preparation which will cause in adequate information to be delivered.

Muchena said the government has to adjust to the sit, adopt science and technology only then can people move from a crisis to a new normal.

Muchena said everyone African should be inspired by the African Union’s Agenda 2063, creating a prosperous Africa based on inclusive growth and sustainable development.
