Top ally of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Delish Nguwaya was remanded in custody to Monday for a bail hearing after being charged with two counts of fraud before Harare magistrate Vongai Muchuchuti.
Nguwaya is at the centre of the COVID gate scandal involving a company called Drax Consult SAGL that had a $60 Million deal with NatPham to supply medical supplies.
Drax International was contracted to procure medical equipment for the Ministry of Health and Child Care and it sold them to the Ministry at exorbitant prices than those prevalent on the market.
